We’ve got a new Challenge for you!
(and this is for adults and kids of ALL ages!)
In a few weeks, we will be starting a sermon series entitled ‘Let Justice Roll’. Although this series is not quite as much of a ‘feel-good’ series as something like ‘Psalms’ or ‘Worship’, I would like to challenge you with hearing God’s heart on the matter, and digging in by memorizing some verses. I’ve chosen 7 verses from Amos 5. The verses are listed on the back of this sheet.
For the last few Memory Challenges, we have enjoyed presenting the verses during a Sunday Morning Worship Celebration. We would like to do this again, and will plan to share the verses (for those interested) on Sunday morning, March 25, 2018. We will plan to celebrate with a Pizza Party/Rehearsal on Saturday evening, March 24, 2018, at 6:00 PM. Mark your calendars now, and plan to attend the Pizza Party, even if you can’t participate with Sunday morning’s presentation.
Our Bible Memory Challenges are simply a way to really digest the Word of God by committing it to memory. God’s Word is LIVING and ACTIVE; so many times His Words bring encouragement to us, just when we need it! To make it easier, find a buddy to memorize with, or make it a family project. (If anyone is looking for an accountability partner to memorize with, let me know and I'll help you find one!) The kids will spend a little bit of time reviewing it each week in Power Hour, but the bulk of the work needs to be done by the individual/family.
IF YOU ARE YOUNGER THAN 8 YEARS OLD, you may memorize as many verses as you are years old. (and count the first verse as 2, because it’s REALLY LONG!) For example, if you’re 5 years old, you may memorize 5 verses to earn the Pizza Party reward.
